Officine Générale — Matchsticks
Made at Officine Générale,
as graphic designer.
The Project
“Monday”,
struck on a matchbox.
A short social format built around a single object: the Daily Classics matchbox, sitting on the shop counter.
Depth of field isolates the box in the foreground while the shop interior dissolves behind it. The word “MONDAY” appears in embossed type on the label: the animation isn’t chasing an effect, it simply gives you time to read the joke.
My Role
“Why did the matchstick read Daily Classics every Monday? Because it wanted to spark some lit inspiration to start the week!” — the post’s own caption, which sets the tone of the line: serious in craft, light in address.

Social Format
Building the Identity
Wood, brass, stone counter.
An entirely warm palette, sampled from the image itself — no colour is added after the fact.

Palette sampled from the project’s own visuals.
The Decision
The shortest format in the line, and the most direct.
The Work
In detail.
The loop
The full sequence. Focus stays locked on the label; only the background breathes.
In short
One object, one line, one loop.
The short format forces you down to a single idea. Here it’s the pun between the match and the spark of a Monday morning.
